Murder Of The Gendarmes: Paul Biya Reacts!
The Defense Minister's press release reaches our editorial office The Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Defense regrets to announce the barbaric killings of 03 gendarmes engaged in the restoration and maintenance of law and order Northwest region, coldly murdered by terrorists with the help of weapons of war.
These are:- Major-General DJONLAY Bienvenu, shot dead on November 6, 2017 in Jakiri, Bui department, while he was chasing with his comrades hooded terrorists who were trying to burn down the technical high school of this house;
- Maréchal-des-logis-chef HINMA René, shot dead on the night of 7 to 8 November 2017 at 23.30, at a mixed roadblock in Bafut, Mezam department;
- Student-Gendarme SALI David, shot dead on November 8, 2017 at 2 am, while on duty at Bayelle High School in Bamenda, capital of the North West Region.
These gendarmes are victims of their courage, commitment and loyalty to their homeland.
The minister delegate to the presidency in charge of the defense transmits to the families of the deceased, died in commanded service, the deep condolences of the head of state, chief of the armies.
The funeral of the interested parties will take place shortly; the murdered gendarmes will receive on this occasion the honors reserved for military deaths on the battlefield. The funeral program will be released in a timely manner.
